Summer Holiday Sewing Workshop
Adult and child sewing workshop for you and your young maker.
Make something together this summer at Ed’s Workshop! Designed for adult and older child pairs (aged 10+), this hands-on sewing session is a chance to get creative, learn new skills and spend quality time together. Over three hours, you’ll each make your own water bottle holder while learning basic sewing skills.
Overview
The Project: A washable water bottle holder.
Duration: 3 hours of step-by-step guidance.
Who it is for: Designed for adult-and-child pairs (ages 10+).
The Setup: The adult and child will each have a dedicated sewing machine and sew side by side, making a water bottle holder each.

What you and your young person will learn:
Sewing machine safety: Thread and operate a sewing machine safely.
Seam precision: Pin fabrics and sew an accurate seam allowance.
Structural support: Apply iron-on interfacing to make your holder sturdy.

Optional professional finishing: Create a neat, topstitched hem around the top rim.
Project completion: Take home two finished water bottle holders.
